He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts at the Department of Interior Design in Istanbul and graduated in 1969. From 1969 to 1974, he studied and worked in Italy as well as completed research on industrial design in Rome and Milan. His work focuses on the reproduction of traditional forms and values in modern design and on transmitting them into everyday life.
