Gaetano Sciolari

ANGELO GAETANO SCIOLARI (1927 - 1994) designed glamorous 1970s style Italian lighting pieces for his family business, Sciolari Lighting (1892). Sciolari also worked a for Stilnovo as an in-house designer during the 1950s. Some of his more famous works are the Molecular Chandelier (1955) for Stilnovo, his Cubic Series. Many of his works appeared on television shows in the 1970s and 1980s. Gaetano Sciolari lighting chandeliers and lamps remain popular today.

In addition to his family company Sciolari, Gaetano Sciolari designed lamps for Stilnovo and Stilkronen (Italy), Lightolier and Progress Lighting (USA), S.A. Boulanger (Belgium), Helestra and Leola (Germany), Lyfa (Denmark) and other companies.
