TIM MACKANESS (b. 1946) is a woodworker and furniture maker based in Oregon. Often drawing on motifs from his rural background and childhood growing up on a farm, Mackaness incorporates familiar and figurative features to create surreal, hand-carved pieces. With exceptional mastery of fine woodworking and carving techniques, Mackaness brings organic form and design together in a unique way.

He often creates his works by enlarging the silhouette of a smaller clay model.
