Modernist oil painting on board by Robert Goodnough (American, 1917–2010) an American painter associated with the Abstract Expressionists. He was a contributing writer for Art News and exhibited his work both in the United States and abroad. His works are in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington, D.C.
