Erling Viksjø

ERLING VIKSJØ (1910-1971) was a Norwegian designer and architect known for his work with concrete and stone. Along with his patented technique for sandblasted concrete facades that exposed the interior stone molding structure (known as Naturbetong), Viksjø is also well known for his furniture pieces that feature his signature inlaid stone designs on sleek, wooden frames. His artistic fingerprint has left a lasting mark on Norwegian architecture and design, having played a key role in the creation of several government offices, churches, hospitals, and modern high-rises across the nation post-WWII.
