Featured in his 2022 solo exhibition, Purpose, Chris Beeston's “Purpose (2015)” clipboard stereo is made out of graphite on paper, a clipboard, copper wire, neodymium magnets, MP3 player, audio amplifier, spirit level, LEDs, power supply, and steel hardware.

In his series of clipboard works, Beeston attaches his fan-art style graphite drawings to clipboards and alchemizes them into transfixing stereos that can play entire albums out of homemade speaker coils.
