Hand-carved tulipwood and milk paint sculpture by Hudson Valley-based artist and designer Christopher Kurtz. The rails mimic the backrest or “crest rail” carving in Windsor furniture.

This piece was featured in Kurtz's 2018 solo exhibition, Sculptures of Furniture: A Windsor Alphabet, at Patrick Parrish Gallery.
