Hand-carved tulipwood and milk paint sculpture and table based on details from traditional Windsor furniture by Hudson Valley-based artist Christopher Kurtz. Named after the carving process called “saddling”, which is the hollowing out of the contours of a chair seat for comfort.

This piece was featured in Kurtz's 2018 solo exhibition, Sculptures of Furniture: A Windsor Alphabet, at Patrick Parrish Gallery.
