From his 2022 solo exhibition, Purpose, Chris Beeston's “Das Buch Der Klänge (1984)” clipboard stereo is made out of graphite on paper, clipboard, wire, neodymium magnets, MP3 player, audio amplifier, LEDs, power supply, and steel hardware.

In his series of clipboard works, Beeston attaches his fan-art style graphite drawings to clipboards and alchemizes them into transfixing stereos that can play entire albums out of homemade speaker coils.
